GRACE CHURCH ANNUAL TREEE LIGHTING AND CONCERT
The Grace Christmas Concert and Tree Lighting drew more than 800 parents, relatives, friends and supporters of the 140 children of the Grace Early Childhood Center who raised their voices singing traditional Christian carols. A decade old tradition, the lighting of the towering tree in front of Grace Church and the singing children help to spark the beginning of the Christmas season.
Members of the Grace Church choir entertained the crowd awaiting the tree lighting with wonderful renditions of traditional Christmas songs. The lighting countdown was led by Grace Church Rector, The Rev. Walter Hillebrand, Oyster Bay Superviser. Joe Saladino, Deacon Bob White, Nassau Legislator.Edward Kennedy and dozens of Center children.
